New height of VSUES – opening of a world-class educational cluster

A world -class educational cluster was opened on the VSUES campus. International school of hotel management VSUES-PIHMS, International linguistic school and Sports and recreation centre are three unique projects.

This is a significant event – uniform and lifelong international learning is now available to schoolchildren and students of the whole region. Dignitaries of Primorsky Krai were among guests of the opening ceremony: governor Vladimir Miklushevsky, deputy head of Vladivostok Natalia Maltseva and others. Also, foreign guests visited the ceremony: president of Pacific International Hotel Management School (PIHMS) - Bill MacCallum from New Zealand, consul general of the USA in Vladivostok Eric Anders Holm-Olsen and honorary consul of New Zealand in Vladivostok Martin Tate.

First object of the cluster is the Sports and recreation centre. Its main crown jewel is a 25-meter swimming pool built by the special German technology. This is the seventh swimming pool in VSUES. Also, eight halls for fitness, combat and dances are to be opened in the centre. This is going to be a real universe of sport, health, energy and positive!

Next object is International Linguistic School. The new building is sized for 400 students. Education is carried in two languages – English and Russian according to International bachelor programme designed in Switzerland (The International Baccalaureate Organization).

International Linguistic School provides education of the future and it has no equals at the Far East. The complex includes spacious classrooms with up-to-date facilities, lingaphone and music classrooms, ceramic workshop, café for students, etc. The school infrastructure is designed according to international standards.
